This system delivers dyno-proven gains of up to 15 horsepower and 21 lb-ft of torque while flowing up to 30% more air than the factory intake. A large Pro 5R performance filter, 3.5-inch mandrel-bent brushed aluminum intake tube, and sealed roto-molded housing provide a less restrictive path for incoming air while retaining a clean, direct-fit installation.
The large inverted Pro 5R air filter measures approximately 3.8 x 9 inches and uses five progressively finer layers of pre-oiled cotton gauze media. Designed for maximum airflow and performance, the filter is washable and reusable for multiple service cycles. aFe's filter-to-housing interface allows the large filter to fit securely inside the sealed housing while simplifying installation.
A one-piece 3.5-inch mandrel-bent brushed aluminum intake tube provides a smooth, free-flowing path from the filter to the throttle body. The brushed aluminum construction gives the engine compartment a distinctive performance appearance while providing excellent durability.
The one-piece roto-molded housing is manufactured from heat-resistant cross-linked polyethylene and helps isolate the filter from hot engine-compartment air. A clear sight window allows easy filter inspection without removing the airbox. The housing retains the factory mounting points for a straightforward installation, while premium stainless-steel T-bolt clamps provide secure, corrosion-resistant connections.
